Face & Neck Lift

A face and neck lift, often termed a comprehensive rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to address visible signs of ageing in both the face and neck regions. It aims to tighten sagging skin, diminish deep wrinkles, and enhance overall facial contours for a more youthful appearance.

The surgical process typically involves incisions made around the ears, extending to the hairline and sometimes into the natural creases of the scalp. These incisions allow Mr Bhat access to underlying tissues in both the face and neck. He will then lift and reposition the skin, tightening the muscles and tissues, and eliminating excess fat deposits. Neck muscles may also be adjusted to achieve a more defined neck contour.

The specific technique employed – whether it’s a deep-plane lift, SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) lift, or another method – depends on your individual needs and desired outcomes. Liposuction might be utilised to remove excess fat from the neck area for better sculpting.

Swelling and bruising are common side effects, and all risks will be discussed prior to surgery. Recovery time varies but typically involves a return to light activities and work within 1-2 weeks. Strenuous activities and heavy lifting should be avoided for several weeks to ensure proper healing. You’ll need to maintain a head-elevated position, shield incisions from excessive sun exposure, and adhere to a surgeon-recommended skincare routine.

Regular follow-up appointments with Mr Bhat facilitate monitoring of recovery progress and ensure optimal healing. These are typically arranged at 1 week, 6 weeks and 3 months after surgery.
